As a HECA member you are now able to access The Chronicle.com as a benefit of your membership. In order to access this special group membership opportunity all members of HECA have been assigned a new HECA email address.
Your HECA email address is ‘[email protected]’ using the first and last names that are in your HECA account HERE. Any spaces, periods or hyphens in your first and last names were removed in order to create the email address but there will be one period between your first and last name in the email address. For example: Sally Jo Smith-Bates would have an email address of [email protected].

Click on WEBMAIL and log in with your new HECA email using your first and last names with a period between first and last name: [email protected]
Your password for the HECA email account is: HECA$Chron21
To access the Chronicle.com:
- Go to Chronicle.com and click on the “Sign In” link at top, right-hand side of the page or go to: www.Chronicle.com/account/create.
- Choose the “Sign Up” option.
- Create a free account using your HECA email address and create a password (this is NOT our HECA email password listed above). You also have the option to sign up for The Chronicle’s free email newsletters during the registration process.
- Activate your account by confirming your email address. Look for an email from [email protected] subject line “The Chronicle: Confirm your email address” in your new HECA email account.
If you currently have an individual subscription to the Chronicle this new HECA membership subscription will not have any impact on your site license access. If you would now like to cancel your individual subscription you can do so by contacting The Chronicle’s customer services team at [email protected] and inquiring about getting your current individual subscription prorated.
